I am a fully qualified soft tissue and remedial massage therapist operating in the Ipswich area. I am mobile and can treat you at your home or (with consent) your gym or workplace.
I was born and raised in Oxford and have only been living in Ipswich since January 2017. I live with my partner and our young sons (and our dog and cat!) and am a family man, so I understand the importance of keeping fit and healthy for all of the hours of play that young children demand! I am also familiar with the challenges of balancing work, family life and time for yourself, and am as flexible as possible with my appointment times.
I have been on the other side of the client/therapist relationship myself in the past. After many years of intermittent sciatica (with occasional loss of leg function for short periods) my L4/L5 disc finally prolapsed in 2010, resulting in surgery and an inevitable period of recovery. With the help of treatments from several physical therapists, including soft tissue therapy and remedial massage, and a detailed programme of strength and conditioning exercise, I recovered quickly: only 4 months after my surgery I was able to deadlift twice my body weight and was in the best physical condition of my life! I only wish I had discovered it sooner! Having experienced first hand the benefits of soft tissue therapy and remedial massage, I am extremely passionate about what I do.
I have a BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy (sport and remedial massage) from the Oxford School of Sports Massage (OSSM) and am a member of the Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists (ISRM). To find out more about either OSSM or the ISRM, please click on the links below.
